Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a crisp, pretty light and thinnish tan head that fades quickly above the 15 per cent opaque body. Aroma of very syrupy and sticky sweet notes of caramel, caster sugar and honey with plentiful malt and alcohol in the nose with a little bit of hops, too, of course. Full-bodied; Very rich malty flavours dominate with a ton of pungency from the sugars and assertive sweetness with a lot of bitterness from metallic and medicinal astringency with a lot of bitterness, but the alcohol shows strongest here, especially at the end. Aftertaste is strong and robust with a lot of sugars, alcohol, malts and hops - pretty much everything is in here, in a big way, but it comes off as a bit cloying and quite rich and showing a bit too much alcohol at the end. Nice to sample, but this was perhaps a bit too strong, although the format was just right to sample a beer of this size/flavour! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Red Wagon in Troy, Michigan on 18-April-2023 for US$2,39 sampled two days later at my hotel room here in Utica, Michigan on 20-April-2023.
