Cask @ Akkurat. Heavy on the dark malts. Notes of coffee and dark dry chocolate. Herbal hoppiness.

(Cask at Craft Beer St Mary Axe, London, 21 April 2016) Dark ruby colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of caramel, nuts, red fruit and a touch of chocolate. Malty, slightly roasted taste with nuts, caramel, some coffee and a balanced earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. An attractive cherry red colour with a loose beige head; earthy aroma; earthy malt taste with a touch of caramel; pleasantly bitter, with a lingering leafy finish. Very enjoyable in the pub garden on a spring evening.

Cask @ Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden, Holborn WC1. Pours a dark amber ruby color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with hints of dark fruit. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Taste of soft dark malts, soft toffee, dab of earthy fruits, nice malts, soft chocolate, decent
Palate - Soft body, light sweet, bit oily. Finish as main flavour.
Overall - Good malts in this

Cask at CBC Holborn Garden, 18/06/14. Clear chestnut brown with a moderate light tan covering that thins then stays for the show. Nose is light roasted tones, tobacco, earthy, dark fruit notes, Caramac bar. Taste comprises candied fruit peel, perfumed notes, dark berry fruits, toffee, light hoppings, floral rinse. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the close. Decent enough for the style.

Cask at the Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a lightly hazy, bright ruby with a halo of off white head. Aroma of caramel, straw and malt. Biscuity malt flavours with notes of raisins and pine needles. Finish was dry grain, nutty malts and brown sugar.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2013. Ruby red colour pour with a small halo of off white head. Aroma is nice red berry, cranberry nutty malt. Flavour is nutty, caramel malt, light berry, mineral. Very tasty.

Cask at Craft, Islington, London. A dark brown/ruby coloured pour with a small beige head on top. Fruity, malty aroma. Tastes fruity, malty, nutty. It’s fine but rather straightforward.
