Bottle at Bruce’s, London - big thanks to Kenny. Pours black with a thick, brown cream head. Some smokey malts in the nose, hints of dark fruits, slight Band-Aid, some burnt wood. Medium to big sweet flavor, quite bitter, lots of scorched earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth to finish, lots of bitter earth and toasted wood, some dark chocolate, light, gritty coffee. Great stuff overall.

10/III/13 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - bottled: XI/6/2012 (at least I assume the date format is USA) (2013-235) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very smoky, coffee, bit sour, lots of roasted stuff, dark caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sourish, lots of roasted flavours, coffee, mocha, little smoky (not as much as you might guess from the aroma), dark caramel, some vanilla. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, hoppy, lots of coffee, mocha, little sweet, alcohol is noticeable.

Bottle, thanks to Evin. It pours near black with a medium tan head. The nose is roasted malt, burnt earth, light spice, chocolate and touch of soy sauce. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, dark chocolate, earth, chocolate gateaux, alcohol warmth, nice bitterness and light spice with a dry finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Surprisingly smooth. Delicious.
