Chastnaya Pivovarnya Afanasy (Частная Пивоварня Афанасий) Porter

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly quickly dissapearing head, very deep brown color, with a hint of red hues, aroma of nuts, wood and some coffee, flavor of dark caramel and kvas like very dark bread and hints of prunes amd burned notes, quite sweet but with just enough bitterness to balance. Quite interesting but also a little difficult to drink.

Extremely dark brown to black, tan weak head. Aroma roasted malt and licorice. Taste sweet caramel, licorice, molasses, roasted malt and coffee dry finish. Medium to full bodied and chewy. I really don’t like Baltic Porters but this is actually OK.
