Cask gravity at SIBA BF, Paddock Wood. As so often, my first beer of a festival also turns out to be my beer of the festival. Black, thin beige head. Now that is a lovely beer. Rich roasted and velvety smooth malts. Bit of dry charcoal on finish. It’s outstanding. Beautifully balanced, really well made, the roasted malt, choc, espresso coffee flavours are outstanding. It’s so good, after drinking loads of dull Belgian bottle stuff in the preceding weeks, this was just so refreshing
