HMS Albion's officers developed a taste for the beer, brewed at Liverpool's Baltic Fleet pub, which led to brewers commissioning one in the ship's honour.
The Albion beer is now on sale at the pub in Wapping - which is famous for serving sailors since the 18th Century. The 5.4% beer has been described by the brewers as a pale, hoppy bitter, which the officers and crew can drink "without falling over".

Cask conditioned handpull at Market Porter, Borough Market. Strange to have a Wapping beer in London. Copper colour with thin beige head. Nutty yeasty caramel. Unusual Wapping beer as it is not full of hops. Malt/caramel aroma. Dry malts in mouth. Some hop on end to balance, but not one of their best.
