Formerly known as Bristol Blonde at 3.8% when originally brewed by Smiles.
Brewed at Highgate following the closure of Smiles Brewery in 2004.
A crisp, light and refreshing ale. Charges of whole, fresh all English Northdown and Goldings hop varieties, added to the boil, give a clean bitterness and a deliciously hoppy aroma.

Cask handpull at Folkestone Wetherspoon’s. Hazy copper colour, with lasting fluffy beige head. Yeast and butter on aroma, some light citrus fruits. Light in mouth. More buttery/caramel in mouth. Bit of muddy, earthy hop finish. Light citrus notes on finish. It wasn’t blond and it didn’t make me smile.
