Looking back can provide a better perspective on the future. In the good ol’ days, when things were simpler, you would kick off your shoes, crank up the tunes, and crack open a cold one. This was our inspiration for 8Track, a malt-forward Amber Ale designed to showcase the simple beauty of a well-crafted beer – cutting no corners, and using only the purest ingredients. Deep flavors of caramel and toffee fade into a smooth finish. You know you’re drinking a beer. Now put those feet up and crank up some tunes!

12 oz can from Total Wine, San Antonio, TX. Pours a crystal clear dark amber color with a khaki head and very good retention. Good lacing. Malty caramel aroma. Malty caramel flavor too. Tastes like a blend of an amber lager and an amber ale. Smoother than a typical amber ale but it still has a little chemical flavor in the finish. The 6.5% ABV and 30 IBU are fairly hidden but are more noticeable in the finish. Medium body.

Yes, I am old enough to have had an 8 track player in my first car. But today I would rather drink an 8 Track. 12 oz bottle from the neighborhood craft beer store, using my ABGB snifter to taste with. It pours a pleasant red-amber and a whisk of of eggshell colored foam. It has the expected grain and astringent smell I associate with red ales. The taste is malt, wheat crackers, a toffee sweetness. A good representation of the style from a good Texas brewery.
