US STYLE PALE ALE Our distinctive American pale ale is full of big hop character but without the strong bitterness. Carefully selected American hops are added continuously during the boil and also during conditioning (dry hopping) to give a really fresh aromatic boost. This beer is mainly about hops but we have given it a malt backbone to balance the beautiful tropical fruit aromas. ALLERGENS: Wheat & barley malt

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is big citrus fruit hop, pine needles. The flavour is medium bitter with a light malt, hop spice bitter palate and long fruity bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Really enjoyed this one. Very refreshing indeed and lots going on. For an APA is this is very good indeed and if Three Floyds had brewed it, people would be saying it was a whale i’m sure!

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Deep golden with a small creamy head. It has a fuller bodied tropical fruit aroma and taste, so much so the nose is very sugary. Slightly soured.

Bottle. It’s a hazy, golden-orange beer topped by a creamy off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the orangey, citrusy side, with a little malty touch. Quite bitter on the palate, with oranges and pine cones. Full to medium body, semi-dry and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting bitter finish with oranges. Straight forward and far from complex, but easy drinkable and quenching. 140228
