This castaway was aged in a variety of red wine and virgin barrels, some dating back into 2021, creating a blend of a fruity wine-like aroma with a medium dry finish and very subtle tartness. It’s akin to the origins of the classic India, Pale Ales, aged in barrels on their long sea voyages.

473 ml can. Pours amber with full head. Aromas of fruity esters, a bit of farmyard, quince, mashed stoned fruit and bready malts. Flavors follow same with some additional oak. Can't really get much wine barrel effects. More of a farmhouse ale. Quite nice.
