Downton Lake Barleywine is a 2022 reserve blended English Barleywine and Belgian Quad with Tahitian Vanilla and First Peak Organic Coffee from Counterpart Roasters. Rich and decadent with a warming finish. With additional age, dark fruits and toffee pudding notes will emerge.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark mahogany with no head. Aromas of dark fruit, plums, burn sugar, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with some additional phenolics.

Poured from 650mL bottle @ Weathered 2023. Clear-ish amber with minimal white head. Underlying roast coffee, feint dark fruits, very feint hint of vanilla. Underwhelming, odd combo.
