Pours black with a small, lasting tan head. The aroma is of roast malt, chocolate, and coffee. It has an intense dark roast malt flavor with chocolate, peppers, licorice, and coffee. There’s a good bittering hop balance and a full body. Excellent.

16 ounce can from Brew & Co. in Bedford Hills, NY. Number one with a bullet. Opaque dark brown color topped by a dense, frothy tan head. Roasted malt aroma has obvious notes of cinnamon. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of cinnamon and chocolate. Mild heat from the crushed red pepper. Medium bodied. Decent flavor. Heat builds as brew warms.
