Bottle. Red dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruit, wood, yeast, dried fruit. Flavour is sugar, malt, hop, spices, coffee, licorice, chocolate, fruit, yeast, dried fruits. Nice beer.

Bottle 750ml.Clear medium to dark brown - red amber colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, roasted, caramel, light wood and overriped dark fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130215]

Tap at Funkwerks - I have serious issue with them mentioning saison in the.description of this beer, as it is in no way a saison, but anyway - loads of bourbon, oak, dark fruit (plum, fig), and black cherry in the nose - full body, nice texture, firm body for the abv - flavor has strong vanilla, oak, and bourbon notes - some toffee and caramel - plum, raisin - finish and spices, fig, brown sugar - a solid bourbon aged belgian strong ale - nice warmth in the finish.

Bottle, 75cl. A dense, light beige head of finger-thick size sits on top of an unclear reddish dark brown body. Some woody notes in the mostly fruity aroma. Belgian yeast, dried fruits and sugary malts too. The flavor is rather sweet, with some alcohol, as well as fresh and dried fruits. Some spiced and herbal hints too. Lasting finish with both sweetness and warmth. A quite pleasant one, but a bit too sweet. 130215

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of adnielsen. Pours a cloudy opaque reddish brown with a creamy and lacing beige head. Complex aroma of overripe dark fruit and oak. Rich, sweet body, lovely vanilla and oak, fairly filling with a subdued bitterness. Odd but somehow quite enjoyable. 150213
