Pours black with almost no head. It smells of roast malt and chocolate. The flavor is of sweet chocolate, roast malt, and a little bourbon with some mild hops bitterness in the finish. It's medium bodied and overall pretty mild tasting. There aren't any off flavors, but I was just hoping for more intense bourbon and roast character.
