Sampled on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Apparently this is only supposed to be available at the DFH Alehouses, but something got screwed up somewhere and a keg made it to Beer Run. I’m not complaining. Pours a deep amber color with a medium tan frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, and bitter resiny hops. The taste is big toasty malts, caramel and bitter resiny hops. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Tap at DFH Alehouse Fairfax. Poured an orange amber color with a small, white foam head. Aroma was caramel, pine, grapefruit. Flavor was sweeter than I imagined, solid malt character, caramel notes. I wonder if they’ll be able to replicate the brew in the future...
