Apricot aroma with apple and banana hints. Hazy amber, fountains of carbonation from the bottom of the glass, thick billowy head, some lacing. Full body. A bit on the sweet side, with just a touch of funk. Flavor is less identifiable than the aroma. Apricots, apples, and banana somewhat discernible. Alcohol not noticeable. This beer was highly recommended by multiple sources I trust and admire and they are mainly right. It’s slightly off balanced, but otherwise, it is a great beer. Good complexity, flavorful, enjoyable to drink.

Clear golden orange coloured body with a thinish tan head and a bunch of bubbles rising quickly from the bottom. Aroma of hay, coriander seed, curacao, wheat, honey, yeast and a lot of flowers and pollen - nice smell, especially for the season! Full-bodied; Strong assertive maltiness up front with yeast and coriander seed coming out most. Flavour immediately switches to a sweet honey and fruity flavour - interesting. Aftertaste shows a lot of sweetness, a bit of hay and grass, and an essence of yeast. Overall, a pretty complex and very interesting beer. Sometimes more sweet and other times more spicey, this is definitely worth a try! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Falls Church (Tyson’s Corner), Virginia on 13-February-2009, drunk on 26-February-2009 at home in Washington. Bottle #1723 [of 2008].

22 ounce bottle from the brewery, bottle #1594. A slightly brown-tinged red color. Medium head does not stick around long at all. Light attempts at lacing.Very sweet, fruity aroma. The fruitness expresses itself as apricots and other stone fruits. Some caramel and the corn makes itself known. Definite caramel and fruit notes. The fruitiness shows the apricot again with some tart berry notes. Subtle grassy notes. Some astringent alcohol makes its presence known also. Medium bodied.

Very sweet caramel and light malt flavor, subtle floral hops and a fairly dry lightly bitter finish and some slight belgian fruitiness. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
