A special rare release of our Imperial Brown Ale done up with a little help from time spent in barrels. We took our iconic Impale'd Ale and aged it for several months in a combination of bourbon and rye barrels. The blended result is a "Double Barrel" aged beer that packs a punch. Strong flavor of bourbon with a noticeably upfront alcohol presence, mildly balanced by hints of rye and dark cherry.

Dark brown. Medium body and quite fudgey. On the lighter side, again chocolate fudge. Low bitterness.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet chocolate and sweet dark grains with roasted malts supporting. Flavor is chocolate forward with sweet dark grains and some roast and a hint of bitterness in the finish.
