Did you know we source almost all our malt from Field 5 Farm in Saanichton? It's true!
Field Five Farm is located only 20 km away from the brewery - talk about local!
Field Five Farm grows specialty grains and they malted this small crop of hull-less (aka naked) barley for the Tasteful Nudity IPA.
We combined the hull-less (naked) barley with Mosaic and Amarillo Hops.
These hops give the beer a blend of floral, tropical, fruity, and earthy characteristics.

Poured from the tap. Clear light gold with small white head. A bit of weird artificial sweetness in the malt here with quite mild hopping. Average.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Sunny blond colour, slightly hazy (the first pour is actually very clean), with small frothy head. Aroma of malt, and jam, sweet aroma. Lean body, minimal residual sweetness contributing to the mouthfeel; they used a 'special' barley, but unfortunately the result is worse than with regular barley; there are mild vegetable notes, moderate bitterness, mild hop resins, tiny bitty pith in the finish, and some alcohol; the aftertaste is a bit disappointing.
It's decent, overall.

Slight haze. Pale. Thin head. Medium body but some plasticy ferm in there, not good. Lacks hop for an ipa. This one goes nowhere for me.
