Rum sour
Corsair's Curse, originally brewed in 2019, was a dry-hopped sour ale aged in ex-Barbados rum barrels. When those were emptied we refilled them with our house blend sour, where it has aged for nearly 4 years.
A mix of Canadian malted barley, malted and unmalted wheat provide a base for our house mixed culture of wild yeasts and bacteria. Quite rich and tart, it has a surprisingly full body and sweet linger brought on by the characteristic rum notes.
The years of aging have added many layers of rich complexity and at 10% abv, it is a perfect beer for sipping and exploring. Enjoy flavours and aroma of cherry, plum, brown sugar, pineapple vanilla, oak, and rum.

@ Magnet. Amber-brown, no head…looks flat. Lactic, balsamic, dark fruit complexity on the nose. A bit slick, only mild tartness…i think the rum barrel is adding some sugars to round it out. Dried cherries and zhenjiang vinegar. I could see myself not
