Take some original Hammer Imperial Stout and delicately roshambo it into bourbon soaked American oak barrels. Drop the hammer and smash your way into rich, roasted caramel warmth. Break down that wall! ... or conform & be dull.

Dark brown. The aroma is chocolatey with some nuance. Thinnish with a bit of tartness and not much barrel. A little underwhelming - the barrel isnβt doing much and the Hammer seems to have gone downhill from the last time I had it, too.

650mL bottle, pours black with a tan head. This is not that different from the regular Hammer, with hardly any barrel-aged characteristics standing out. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, semi-bitter coffee, light cocoa and burnt notes. Pretty much as good as the original.
