Cool 50cl bottle pours out clear slightly orange-ish copper with thin light tan head. The aroma doesn’t offer up too much. It smells a little sweet, a little minerally and a touch apple and pear. The taste is pretty smooth and mellow with some apple fruit and a touch of apple skin, some sugar malt sweetness and then it rolls into mild spicy yeast, faint yeasty tartness and just a hint of earthy funk. This is a nice subtle smelling and tasting product.

Batch #1 bottle. Quite possibly only my second gose. Body is slightly hazy autumnal yellow color. Pillowy foam. Smell has light spices to it, but I can’t suppose it’s from any more than a standard unfiltered wheat beer. Taste is pleasant. Malts seem a little light. Spiciness is light, maybe less than the original iteration of the style. The salt does become evident, almost like a brewer trying to counteract hard water in making a Pilsener. Spice dials up a little bit as I go on down the bottle, but doesn’t quite leap out at me. Oh, it’s different all right, although if I wasn’t aware this was a Gose, would I have guessed it?

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and light spice aroma. Malt and light spice flavor with light herbal notes. Medium bodied. malt and herbal notes linger with light spice.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden orange color with a nice fairly dense 2 finger off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of lemon, orange, wheat, bread, coriander, earth, floral, grass, light pepper, and herbal spiciness. Nice and very unique aromas with good balance and strength. Taste of lemon, orange, pear, wheat, grass, salt, coriander, light pepper, earth, floral, and herbal spiciness. Lingering notes of citrus, floral, wheat, bread, grass, salt, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a bit. Good flavor balance and complexity; fairly dry on the finish. No cloying flavors at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and pretty crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with almost no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice brew. This was my first gose and this was quite a nice experience. Nice flavor balance and complexity; very smooth and crisp to drink. Really enjoyable.

Pours clear straw yellow with a medium sized white head that dissipates quickly leaving some light lacing. Aroma of berries, honey and sweet caramel. Taste of berries, lemon, bready and herbal. A lot going on that just didn’t mesh.

Bottle. Hazy light amber color, huge off white head, decent lacing. Aroma of feet and lemon polish. Taste is sour grapefruit, lemon, caramel.

Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Slightly hazy orange-brown body, medium off-white head. Soapy nose with berries and dust. Soapy, herbal body with notes of potpourri. Tame and lifeless.

22oz bottle-pours gold with a tight light tan head. Aroma is sweet light/medium malt, lemon, salt. Taste is sweet light/medium malt-some caramel, lemon, salt, slight earthy hops. Soft carbonation.
