Great looks and high viscosity – the head is like a flour on top of the beer. Aroma is sweet and roasted with some coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour is rather intensive and very sweet with roasted malt, licorice, some cocoa, coffee and somewhat stinging alcohol. Also hints of vegetables at the finish. Not my thing, too sweet.

Pours pitch black with an extremely nice looking creamy smooth and sticky dark brown head. Aroma of heavy wooden notes, roasty malts, cream, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is complex and sweet with some roasty malts, wooden notes, oak, licorice, raisin, molasses, vanilla and tart fruits. Finish is sweet, salty and sticky, alcohol burns through slightly too much. Reminds me of Mikkeller’s Black. A bit unbalanced and too sweet for my taste.

pitch dark, darkeat browh head ever. Mild hoppy and quite roasted malty aroma.flavor is dried fruits, roasted malts, faint booze, extreme, palate is extremely thick,mild boozy note to the flavor, reminds me of mikkeller black, but this one is by far the blackest.

Jet black. Dark choc, licorice and coffee aroma. Strong dark chocolate, licorice. Creamy slick mouthfeel. Dark choc and smoke retronasal.

On tap. Pours a pitch black with pretty much no head. Heavy, heavy sweet roast aroma, fluid sweet raisin syrup.... Heavy, rich body, low carbonation very, very sweet, vanilla, and molasses, again raisin syrup. Boozy and extremely filling. Very enjoyable. 110512
