Lots of passionfruit and gooseberries on the nose – big antipodean hops on this one, not surprisingly. Big body, lots of bitterness. Aggressive Galaxy and friends…so has an almost overripe character, but rich gooseberry, a lot of pale malt, too. It has sort of a West Coast type structure but down under ingredient bill…which I can see the value in trying but it would actually benefit from more restraint on the hops as they do veer towards grassier, overripe territory. Still, not bad.
