Deux II is a foedre aged sour with NS cherries, brewed in collaboration with Orono Brewing Company. ⠀
⠀
Last summer we had a visit from our American pals OBC, who make some of the best damn beer out there. Together we filled a foedre with a golden sour base, and let it get all kinds of sour and funky thanks to a bunch of our house cultures. After several months in oak, we added 1000lbs of whole NS cherries from Stirling Farms and allowed the beer to condition for about 8 weeks before packaging and allowing for natural carbonation in the can. ⠀
⠀
Jam packed with bright cherry zip, almost jolly rancher kinda thing going on, lively and fun. A bit of marzipan and cinnamon as is warms.

Can, from Cask & Barrel in West Kelowna. Hazy, no head. Slight pinkish hue. Assertive bretty, woody aroma with a light cherry accent. Medium body. Moderate tartness, again lots of brett, leather...complex bugs, lots of tannins, subtle cherry accent. Really nice fruited barrel sour. Finishes fairly acidic.
