0,25l bottle at home. Bottle from the 80s, BB-options are 87-89. brown / sherry like clear color, no head. smells of raspberries, sherry, honey, spices, earthy. ok smell, heavily oxidized. medium body, no carbonation. tastes of sherry, bit metallic, berry notes, honey, mead like, peppery. fiinishes bit sweet with notes of honey, metal and sherry notes. overall the metallic notes are distracting.

Sugary raspberry juice aroma. Big pink frothy head. Very sweet and a bit sour. Artificial raspberry flavor, like cheap sweets, with some underlying grapefruit bitterness. Syrupy, yet thin.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 2/20/2015. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy ruby red/orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lightly tart/tangy raspberry jam, fruit skin/seeds, peach, plum, strawberry, lemon, red apple, hay, straw, grass, oak, candi sugar, lightly toasted bread, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity/light funk yeast, oak, candi sugar, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy raspberry jam, fruit skin/seeds, peach, plum, strawberry, lemon, red apple, hay, straw, grass, oak, candi sugar, lightly toasted bread, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberry jam, fruit skin/seeds, peach, plum, strawberry, lemon, red apple, hay, straw, grass, oak, candi sugar, lightly toasted bread, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/light funk yeast, oak, candi sugar, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly slick/syrupy/acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an awesome sweetened fruit lambic! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/light funk yeast, oak, candi sugar, and pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mellowly tart/tangy/drying finish. Super jammy fruit with great yeast complexity; balanced sweetness with nice oak presence. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Tap at À la Mort Subite. Hazy purple color with white-ish head. Aroma is like the butchery of a raspberry deer (that’s what King_Alex_II), chemical raspberries. Taste is sweet, artificial raspberries. Metallic finish, with even a bit of dryness. Medium carbonation. Drinkable, but not a proper fruit lambic. Doesn’t do much harm, but doesn’t do much good either.
