Strong Saison aged for four months in Sauvignon Blanc barrels from Wente winery in California. This brew uses a unique yeast strain from a famous Belgian brewery. This brew is spicy and peppery with a dry finish.

Light amber, slight haze. Thin head. Slight vinous fruit note, with some crackery malt notes. Sweet. There's a bit of wine influence, but the base is a dramatically underhopped sticky bland saison. The barrel can't save the base beer - saison is not supposed to be sticky and sweet. It is supposed to be dry and hoppy.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, as “Saison Sauvignon” Anniversary Saison Aged in Sauvignon Blanc Barrels, 7.2% ABV
Hazy golden colour. Buttery AF, but that's the barrel probably, a bit jammy, mild spicy yeast character, and quite a lot of Sauvignon floral character.
Messy but fun.

Taster shared at Alex's. Appearance: hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: just some fruitiness and tea notes. Taste: much more complex with lots of wood and creamy notes from the oak, fruity, moderately sweet. Overall: interesting, but barrel is overwhelming.
