Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Milky pale blond colour, the head reduces quickly. The aroma is moderately fruity, citrusy. Weird malt base, earthy, like manure, and the mouthfeel is very chalky, leading to strong final astringency, that is not helped by the bitter citrus peel.
Too many components here, that didn't find the harmony.

Can, Legacy. Opaque, dullish yellow-mud sort of colour. Like the pale part of a banana slug. The aroma is quite estery, and the esters aren't adding anything to the vaguely citrusy hop. Kind of yeasty, too. Bitter citrus rind, husky malts with just a touch of sweetness, yeast, alcohol. Not only are there some fairly harsh elements in here, but they don't come together. All told, this just seems sloppier than I'm accustomed to from Cat 12. Not bad, necessarily, but too many structural issues to ignore.
