(bottle, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a big and beige foamy head. Sweet, dark malty aroma, very roasty with liquorice and caramel like German malt-bonbons. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, soft on carbon. Aromatic malty base, roasty with caramel and liquorice; sweet roast-malty finish with a distinctive amount of residual sweetness and light balancing hoppy notes. Sweet but not sticky Bock.

bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear, dark brown colour, small but persistent head. Sweet and malty nose which promises caramel and raisin. Fruity and malty-sweet flavour with hints of caramel, roasted malt, raisin, prunes and herbs. Full-bodied. Pleasantly hoppy in the lingering finish.

Bottle (many thanks to Quack-Duck!): Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, very stable, creamy off-white head; sweet dark-malty, a bit worty and fruity nose with a tinge of molasses and toasted malt; robust sweet - not cloying - flavour with a light malty bitterness, medium to full bodied, becomes a bit drier towards the end: sweet- malty, almost coffeeish, with a light bitterness in the aftertaste. Pleasant, well rounded and easy-drinking Bock........
