To say thank you, we have blended two Wild Turkey barrels, that held an imperial stout for 38 months. Over these three years, we have tended and cared for this rich and decadent stout.

On tap at Structures - State St, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is full of dark chocolate, vanillin, huge bourbon barrel, and oak. Flavour is very rich, with deep bourbon barrels, tons of sticky dark sugars, cocoa, and some vanillin. The barrel character is maybe not the most exquisite but the blending and base beer are so sublime that they make up for it. Wonderful stuff.

Dark brown, inky and thick with no head. There’s a fait bit of hot bourbon notes along with vanilla and syrupy stout. A tiny bit of fruitiness. The base is quite good, the barrels aren’t the most refined. There’s some heat in the finish.

6oz. Appearance: very dark brown with some beige head. Aroma: sweet, bold, some molasses, American oak, some chocolate. Nice and proper for a straight BBA IS. Taste: very sweet and thick. It is also really boozy, probably the booziest Imperial Stour from Structures I've ever had. A lot of caramel candies and oak. At the same time, I wouldn't say it's very complex. It's kinda one directional and doesn't bring a lot of complexity to the palate. Overall: it is for sure enjoyable, but I expected more from it.
