Our perennial favorite beer at OBC, and one whose return we long for when it takes a break from draft service, Gnaw returns back and better than ever. A Czech Tmave Pivo in spirit, with some signature Oakflower rustic grain choices to boost the body and add a tiny bit of extra complexity. Honey dipped brown bread, dark chocolate, toffee, and some baking spice back up make for a delightfully deep beer, with a body and profile that keep it in check for multiple pints in a row.

12 oz can. Pours a deep brown / black depths of color. Aroma is chocolate, ash, earth. Flavor follows with a decent body for the 4.5%. Pretty decent for such a low abv.

Can shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Hazy, cola brown with garnet hues, thin head, no lacing. Aroma is strong lightly roasted earthy malt, hint of coffee, toffee. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, light body, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Not phenomenal complexity or strength but quite good for ABV.

Tavour: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is loads of chocolate, roasty malts. Nice body. Light bitterness. Somewhat sweet. Excellent balance: great.

Lukr at the brewery, 7/19/24. Dark brown color, creamy medium brown head. Big, roasty aroma. Unsweetened chocolate, pumpernickel bread. Earthy on the finish. Fairly full bodied for something this low in ABV. Chewy feel. Really nice. 8/4/9/4/17
