Draught @ Fermentoren, Århus. Pours hazy dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, wood, rye, dark fruits. Flavor is malts, caramel, wood, dark fruit, prunes, plums, very bitter grassy hops, light pine, some alcohol. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, bitter finish with some warming alcohol. 220514

Bottle, 11% at KØ14. Sweet aroma, nicely malty hoppy. Very good sweet hoppy flavour. Powerful grassy hops. Good sweetness to balance. A little boozy, but with a warming alcohol.

Tap@Taphouse, CPH - pours a dark amber with off-white head. Sweet malty and fruity aroma and taste, caramel, nice citrus notes, light dried fruit nuances.

Draft. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and citrusy hops, leaidng to dry alcholic, and very bitter finish.

At 4:20 in Rome. Pours reddish copper with a medium creamy foam. Nose: sweet caramel, distilled malts, dry fruit. Mouth is very complex: prunes, oak feel and bitterness all around. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Animal. DArk amber colour, almost reddish with a creamy off-white head, good duration and nice lacing. Aroma has a good maltiness, notes of red fruits, ripe fruit and alcoholic. Flavor is slightly sweet with notes of ripe fruit, vinous, candy sugar and toasted malts. The final is sweet but not cloying, notes ow sweet wine, good maltiness and slightly bittery notes.

Small glass, draught at Schouskjelleren. Clear amber coloured body. Good lacing at the upper level of the glass. Sweet aroma of apricot and brown malts. Sweet taste of dried fruits with a spicy touch. Dry, bittersweet ending with tingling alcohol. Rather heavy to drink. Alright as a slow sipper (Oslo 03.09.2013).

Un bel rosso rubino quasi mogano poca schiuma media persistenza luppolatura intensa buon maltato leggero fruttato leggera frutta secca lieve etlico bel amaro finale corpo medio media secchezza piuttosto complessa intensa

Jak na Barley wine to troche sredniawo. Liczylem na wiecej. Praktycznie bez piany mnostwo alkoholu i tego posmaku, troche owocowosci granatu. Finisz rozgrzewajacy slodkawy i lekko wytrawny. Zbyt mocna nuta alkoholu tu dominuje i przytlacza, ale chmiel jednak dalo sie wyczuc. W zapachu dominuje karmel.
