Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og Skinnyviking på Nerstranda 14 Jan 15. Mørk amber. Veldig uklar. Middels høyt skum. Aroma av plommer. Smaken det samme. God - men uvariert.

330ml bottle bought at Vikapolet in Oslo quite a while ago. Fawn-coloured head leaving crocheted lacing behind. Cloudy, dark reddish body colour. Mid sweet aromas of dark honey, herbal hops and dough. Taste of caramel, yeast, and dark fruits leading to a bittersweet ending with warming alcohol. Full bodied. Comprehensive and tasty, a tad too sweet though (shared with Skinnyviking and Finn, Tromsø 14.01.2015).

Bottled@PBF IX. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready, floral and fruity along with some yeastiness and some resiny notes. Flavour has the same elements in a quite nice balance, but at the same time the overall sweetness is rather high, making itt a bit too sweet for my taste.

Bottle 330ml (PBF IX)
Deep amber color, small beige head. Piney, resiny aroma. Medium-bodied. Resiny, malty with woody finish. Backing caramalt and alcohol. Interesting but not traditional doublebock.

33 cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, BBE 08/2014
Aroma has gluey notes, some hops and sweet malty notes. Also ripe fruits and apricot. Flavour has gluey tones, some hops, malt, berries and ripe fruits. Alcohol is also present. Not your typical doppelbock. Too sweet and messy.

330ml bottle @ PBF IX

Pours dark reddish orange with a thick head. Aroma of yeast, bready malts, some grassy hops and earthy notes. Taste is sweet, bready malts, some ripe fruitness and yeast. Finish is syrupy, bready malty and ripe fruity. Quite weird.

0.33l bottle. Not much of a head on this. I'm trying, but only getting a thin quickly sidesticking bubbly thing. It smells sweet, well not to sweet but definitely malt sweet, traces of beef, chocolate, some cardboard, wet kinda sour grass and a little tone of canned liquid smoke. Sweet at first in the taste. It has a mild oily almost gliding mouthfeel with a soft carbonation level. Doesn't taste all that bad actually. I was fearing an infection from the sourness in the aroma, but it's non present in the taste. Traces of cocoa and chocolate paper, sweet malty without being sticky. Actually quite a tasty double bock this. 03.08.2013
