Sampled on draft this beer poured a hazy vibrant golden color with a small white head. The aroma was sweet, tangy, yeasty and lightly fruity. The flavor was thick sweet sugar with a nice plum fruity element and a long, tangy, sugary finish.

Don’t look at my numbers, this is a great beer for the style, I just don’t care for high alky brews. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color with a slight haze. The aroma of this is quite scary, strong and sweet. You know by smell you are going to get a big alky taste bud impact. The initial kick is hard, sweet and laid back all at the same time if that is possible. The developement of flavors is complex. Alky impact, then that numbs up the taste buds for the sweetness. Hides the initial alky bite quite well. A few of these and you will not pass a DUI checkpoint. I feel my head getting dizzy already. This is a very refined brew that deserves accolades. Continuing thru the session, the alcohol bite builds. Barely any carbonation. Fruity hints thoughout. After a while, the alky effect begins to take over. Very strong malty alky finish. Borders on uncivilized! Not quite as refined as Grimbergen Blonde or Chimay Blanche (White) but certainly on par with great beers like Tripel Karmeliet, Allagash Tripel Reserve and Victory Golden Monkey.
