Cask @ C4, Odense. Pours amber with bubbles on top. Caramel, fruit, spices and toffee. Quite some warming hot alcohol.

Cask. Hazy, reddish amber with a rough white head leaving laces. Sweet malts and overripe fruit in the nose. Quite full-bodied with a fairly low carbonation. Sticky, cloyingly sweet caramel with very pushy alcohol. Completely lacks hops for balance. Nowhere near a British cask ale, this tastes simply like a flat Jacobsen. Disappointing. 070113

Cask (handpump) @ Charlies Bar, Pilestraede 33, Copenhagen, Denmark.Unclear medium red amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet berry, sweet jam, sugary dried fruit. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet berry jam, caramel, swet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20130107]

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, caramel, and cinnamon. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, cinnamon, caramel, alcohol, and fruits, leading to a dry finish.

From cask at Charlies. Pours hazy amber (finings hadn’t cleared it completely yet) and with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, light spiced. Flavour is mild spiced, caramelish to sweet. Vague herbal touch. Bitter and lingering spiced finish.
