Handpull cask at the West Riding Refreshment Rooms, Dewsbury. Light brown, clear with a thickbeige head and lots of lacing. Big astringent aroma with lots of oak character, and some sweet malt with chocolate and toffee. Taste is sweet with a vinous balance, more oaky notes and some hoppy bitterness in the slightly soured finish. Light body with minimal carbonation. A wonderful trad brown.
