Mixed Fermentation Barrel Aged. a 750 ml sharing bottle of a strong wheat ale, made with a 75% /25% wheat to malt grist, bittered with our own Fuggles hops, and fermented with our in-house cider-lees derived yeast, then barrel aged in a French oak red wine barrel for 12 months from June 2019, before being bottle conditioned. A very complex beer with tart, fruity notes and a smooth mouth feel, with a medium level of carbonation. It tastes nothing like a “conventional” wheat beer. This beer should continue to improve for several years. It should be stored below 8C, and served at 8-10C. Limited run of 300 bottles.
