Schwarz-Bier

Sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch säuerlich, röstmalzig. Geschmack leicht schokoladig, säuerlich, röstmalzig.

Malzig-trockener Geruch. Der Antrunk ist leicht süßlich, aber auch angenehm malzig-herb. Zum Mittelteil hin wird das Bier erstaunlich herb-malzig mit einer ganz leicht trockenen Note. Dabei auch ganz leicht süß. Der Nachgeschmack ist lang anhaltend malzig-herb mit leichter, röstmalziger Süße. Dabei auch frische Hopfentöne.

The beer starts malty and not too sweet. Nice liquorice-aroma that becomes more intense in the mainpart. Not too bitter, but the bitterness fits in great. Hints of roast that are combined with the liquorice to a great full mouth-feeling. The aftertaste is long, intense roasted with a quite dry finish.

Draught at BBF13. Molasses aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Stable tan head. The flavour is bready, better than the aroma.

Draught @ BBF13. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown with stable off-white head. Clear, sweet aroma of malt and caramel. Mildly sweet, malty flavour with hoppy and roasty notes. Mildly bitter finish. A trifle watery, despite considerable carbonation. OK, if a little unbalanced.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.[ Trade by kappldav123 ]. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, bread, caramel, sweet malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, bread, light roasted. IMO very Hvidttøl alike. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120815]

bottle from kappldav123 - danke! Clear deep brown colour, large off-white head. Malty with flavours of caramel and roasetd malts, shy hoppy touch in the finish.

500ml bottle. Clear dark ruby reddish brown colour with average, firm, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Grainy, minimally roasty dark malty aroma. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, hints of treacle, a metallic touch, in the finish a decently dry mixture of roasty, grassy and hoppy notes.

Long lasting white head. Flavor is sweet chocolaty taste with a bitter malty finish.

Bottled@Björntasting. Rubyish black colour with small beige head. Aroma is caramel, hops, some slight liquorice and mild mild toasted notes. Flavour is grass, fruits, quite sweetish wooden as well as some mild ashyness. Pleasant and rather different from many other Schwarzbiers.

Bottled. A very dark brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has strong notes malt, caramel, bread, and toffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, metal, brown sugar, and some nuts, leading to a dry metallic finish.
