The people of Tampa Bay have fallen prey to a pirate invasion annually for well over 100 years. After more than a century of failing to repel these seafaring raiders in their anachronistic wooden ships and despite access to modern sea, land and air arsenals that ostensibly should make short work of wind powered vessels equipped with naught but cast iron cannons and raging scurvy, it occurred to the folks of Cigar City Brewing that if you can’t beat them, start saying “Arrrr Matey!” We have brewed Invasion Pale Ale, a citrusy, tropical and low-alcohol session beer brewed for those long days of marauding, pillaging and pirating. Cheers!

30/11/2019. Draught at the Three Wise Monkeys, Ipswich. Pours hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, pineapple, passion fruit and grass. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Decent brew.

Can from total wine on park in fla. Bigfoamy head on a rather clear pale ale. Smells like mild IPA. Taste is the same. Quite bitter. Probably should be rated as one. I've had other IPA that have been less bitter than this. Yes, way too bitter for a APA. Ends with an impression of green grapefruit rind.

Can. Nose is melon, citrus pine. Taste is malty, dry, pine, soft citrus, mango, marmalade, touch of resin. Slick, almost thing mouthfeel. Very drinkable session beer.

Tap at Craft SMA. Very very malty, lots of barley, only hints of hoppiness. Some fruitiness, but weird fruity. Overwhelmed by barley malt. It's nice though.

Drunk down by the dock on Lake Martin in the darkness so no good optics for judging, but looked light amberish. Tall, foamy head. Pine and pineapple aroma. Bitter most of the way through. Drinkable but a resin bitterness and lack of fruitiness keep it from being very refreshing
