Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, EnglandClear medium to dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, light chocolate - cacao, fruit - christmas cake notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111209]

Pigs Ear. Clear dark amber beer. Not much of a head. Light semi dry palate. Low carbonation. Nice dark toffee backbone. Very mild spices, almost not there. A little lacto. Barely there hops, just a little fruit. Semi dry finish. Somewhat against the odds it’s quite well joined up.
