Bottle. Dark blackish brown color with a brownish head. Aroma is a burnt toast, coffee smell. Taste, is deep and roasted with an almost smoky flavor.

Aroma of caramel, some toasted barley. Pours dark brown with reddish tinge and a fluffy tan head. Taste has some dark fruits, but mostly more chocolate and caramel, lightly malty. Palate has more residual malt.

Can. Chocolate malt, molasses, and hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with large tan head. Moderately sweet molasses, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body and balance. Excellent.

12 ounce can. Cola brown color topped by a small creamy beige head and good lacing. Faint roasted malt nose. Toasted malt nose. Notes of caramel and herbal hops. Some dried fruit notes. Decent.

12oz can from beer army outpost in new bern, I believe. bb 06/15/15, earth, wind, & beer. pours a clear very dark chestnut with a frothy dirty beige head. aroma of roasted malts, cofffee, earthy notes. flavour of roast, nuts, leaves. charry bitter finish. sessionable.
