Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy golden with loads of floating impurities and a white head. Spicy nose - but also quite moldy. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness but the fustiness overpowers most. Not so good! 040113

33cl bottle from La Cervoiserie. Nice, a beer using tree bark with reputed aphrodisiac, let’s see how this one turns out. pours cloudy golden, white head. aroma, spicy nose, with touch of black pepper, possibly the effect of the Bois-Bandé bark used in the beer. flavors, spices are present but not overpowering, gives a nice peppery mouthfeel that is warming and blends well with the abv. The malt profile has some nut elements with mild touch of chocolate and light roast, some earthly elements of the bark ’Richeria Grandis’ are mixed with a light hop bitterness. Another beer nicely done by this small French brewery.
