We’re pretty much in universal agreement that the craft beer movement has had three generations of brewers grace its scene and at Polly’s we always make sure to pay homage to the breweries that laid the foundations for things to come, and inspired us to brew in the first place.

With that in mind, we’ve highlighted three generations of hop cultivation on display here in Society Rewind – a classic Polly’s IPA that is very much fruit forward and modern in execution but with one eye on the past to nod to our brewing forefathers.

Hot side Columbus sets the foundation on this beer with a clean and grassy bitterness that whispers throughout this beer, whilst an amped up dry hop charge of Citra and HBC 630 bring a swag bag of juicy citrus fruits, backed up with sweet raspberry and cherry notes with a peaches and cream hit to finish.

Can. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small and short lived off white head. Light and finely minerally crisp palate. Light smooth malts, a pleasant light creamy sweetness. The trio of hops imparts crisp pine. Some mild skunk that I would expect is Columbus derived. A light but bright crisp citrus ensues. Some mild candy HBC630 on the back end. Light crisp finish brings a mild hop spice. Tidy. Just lacks a hop fruit intensity for me, but still goes down well.
