Brewed in memory of the 'Zeppelin Busters' of the Goldhanger Flight Station.
They patrolled the Blackwater Estuary, intercepting German zeppelins heading for London.
Hopped with Challenger and EKG for a spicy, floral finish.

29/1/2026. Cask at the 17th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Nice colour. Aroma is toffee, biscuit, malts, fruity, flowery, touch spicy. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Good body, smooth, soft carbonation. Lightly spiced, dried fruity finish. Well done.

Can. Clear amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a whisper of creamy sweetness dominated by a bigger and not sweet caramel. Hops bring light crisp pine. That mildly earthy and slightly ripe citrus from both EKG and Challenger, nicely juicy here. Light finish. A tidy and drinkable bitter.
