Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. An unexpectedly earthy and smoky nose. Airy smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Mildly bitter dark chocolate malts, a little dark chocolate cream. The earthy smoky note carries over from the nose. Triple Sec barreling brings a little savoury wet wood and vanilla and pretty modest boozy ripe orange. Mildly dry and spicy finish. Decent beer but for me, the rare Triple Sec barrel is not the main feature it should be. Tidy but didn't want to finish it.
