A beautifully bright copper colour, this beer has a fresh bouquet of floral notes as well as mango and passionfruit.
A perfectly balanced malty backbone with subtle sweetness, a gentle bittering note followed by high notes of tropical fruits and grassy tones.
Keeping the story true to its era we’ve used heritage English malt Chevallier®️, English hops Olicana®️ and Harlequin®️ and fermented with London Ale III yeast.
Morale is delicate and designed with balance and sessionability at the forefront.
Ronald Pattinson, the great beer historian shared his 1940s IPA recipe with us. From the base recipe we adjusted it to modern brewing techniques but kept the concept true.

10th July 2022 Can. Just a light haze on this amber gold beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Nice malts, that Chevalier malt slightly tangy richness, touch of caramel. Nice Olicana orchard fruitiness, a little crisp pine. Soft floral hop. Not getting much Harlequin filth. Traces of ripe citrus and a little pith on the crisp finish. Nice job. Crisp, balanced and drinkable and British.
