Witbier (literally "White Beer") is a traditional and centuries-old Belgian style. Known for it's unabashedly unfiltered character with a high amount of yeast in suspension and a permanent haze, this style also features a SUBTLE spicing with coriander seed and bitter curacao orange peel. These additions should always be balanced in these beers. The yeast used is particular to the style, and provides light banana and clove characteristics, and a relatively high attenuation (low residual sugar after fermentation). Ours comes in at 5.4% ABV and an appropriately low 13 IBU's in bitterness. The weather has dealt us a perfect hand as this beer epitomizes Spring and it's crisp freshness complements food and the "big outdoors" particularly well.

Brewery draught, 8/12/26.
A bit orangey bc they gave me an orange slice in it. Maybe done nutty, crusty wheat behind it.
Quite malty/wheaty. Rich, soft, fairly sweet. But the flavors are bold and excellent if you don't mind a bit sweeter, maltier wit.

5 oz. pour on tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Lightly hazy pale yellow w/nice sparkle, ring of head & trace lacing. Aroma is wheat. Taste is wheat, mild champagne yeast. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation & finish as taste. A wheat beer.
