Can pour from The Beer Store, Salem. Virtually opaque dark brown (ruby highlights), light sparkle, large frothy head with fair retention and splotchy lacing. Aroma is strong roasted earthy malt, hint of dark fruit and vanilla. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, medium bodied, average carbonation and finish as taste. Slight nuances but a pretty straightforward porter.
