This is one of our favorite beers! One of the first beers we brewed together as homebrewers, it has always been a favorite among our friends! Delightfully hopped with US and Australian hops, its color is Dark Mahogany with aromas of pine, sweet orange, stonefruit, roasted coffee, and dark chocolate. Tastes of pineapple mixed with stonefruit compliment the flavors of chocolate and light pine. This medium body ale will linger on the palate with a bright hoppy lasting pine, and stonefruit flavors.

Brewery draught, 10/16/25.
As pictured.
Piney and sprucey with sweet chocolate. A very soft, but not under hopped example.
Malty and soft with juicy pine and lots of soft, moderately sweet chocolate character. Good attenuation and body. I agree with Tom, if you're gonna make this style, especially at 8%, it needs a healthy dose of rich bitterness, which this somewhat lacks.

5 oz. tap pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Aroma is strong sweet roasted malt with hint of pine. Appearance is virtually opaque dark brown-mahogany with cap of light brown head with decent retention and tons of lacing. Taste is strong, rich, roasted creamy malt and pine balance. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, good balance but I wish the pine had more bite to it. Creamy and smooth. Nice.
