Brewery draught, 10/16/25.
As pictured.
Piney and sprucey with sweet chocolate. A very soft, but not under hopped example.
Malty and soft with juicy pine and lots of soft, moderately sweet chocolate character. Good attenuation and body. I agree with Tom, if you're gonna make this style, especially at 8%, it needs a healthy dose of rich bitterness, which this somewhat lacks.

5 oz. tap pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Aroma is strong sweet roasted malt with hint of pine. Appearance is virtually opaque dark brown-mahogany with cap of light brown head with decent retention and tons of lacing. Taste is strong, rich, roasted creamy malt and pine balance. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, good balance but I wish the pine had more bite to it. Creamy and smooth. Nice.
