This is the latest addition to the Achouffe Brewery... The aroma of Cherry CHOUFFE gives pride of place to cherries. It also reveals notes of strawberry, almond, spices and sweet Port. Round-bodied, soft and delicate, Cherry CHOUFFE delights the gourmands among us. It has a satisfying finish, with a very slight bitterness.

Bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a clear, deep rusty brown with a small bit of off-white head. Cherry candy nose with some fruity esters, light grass earthy, mineral notes with warming alcohol on the nose. Sweet cherry with some earthy undertones, lingering cherry skin and sweet cherry candy. ABV is hidden well and good carbonation. Sweet, but fun as an aperitif.

Bottle from BeerRitz. It pours clear deep rich red with a thick off-white head. The aroma is intoxicatingly sweet candy upfront, cherry drops, glacé cherry, jammy, candy cane and pink marshmallow. The taste is tangy, juicy and sweet, cherry drops, candy, glacé cherry, sugary, cherryade, jam and a touch of alcohol to keep it in check.. Finish is tangy and fruity. Medium body and foamy carbonation. Quite one - dimensional and a bit artifical. Hides the alcohol very well though. A bit sweet and not my jam. Might please the masses though.

Smell- weak to medium cherry, wine, juice notes. Foam- medium thick (kind of) sour, cherry and malt, a bit of wine feel to it. The Head is small, pink, brown white color. Sticks. Appearance- red can, not a bad design, but nothing that would wow me. Very dark red, with a bit of brown, possibly clear but too dark to understand. Medium to high carbonation. From - snifter Taste - cherry, malty, some sourness and some sweetness mixed. One of the most pleasant sour beers I had, actually drinkable, but still not my type of beer. But thanks for the effort.

Bottle. Nose is cherry syrup, jolly ranchers and cough medicine, almond, cherry Bakewell; it's synthetic and offputting. Taste is very sweet, cherry syrup, cherry sweets, calpol, hints of almond and icing, fainlty herbal leading to a lightly acidic finish. It's very, very poor and is a syrup dump that buries the beer.
