This is the latest addition to the Achouffe Brewery... The aroma of Cherry CHOUFFE gives pride of place to cherries. It also reveals notes of strawberry, almond, spices and sweet Port. Round-bodied, soft and delicate, Cherry CHOUFFE delights the gourmands among us. It has a satisfying finish, with a very slight bitterness.

Bottle as a gift. Dark red colour, beige foam. Sweet nose of cherry candy, syrup. Medium tartness. Very sweet and artificial.

11.2 oz. Aroma is cherry, vomit, grain, booze. Pours clear burgundy red with a thick reddish-beige head with good retention and lace. Taste is tart and sweet with a faint herbal hop bitterness that provides some counterpoint; has a strong cherry flavor, along with a metallic off-note that's easy to look past. Perfect mouthfeel and carbonation. Tasty af, even with the flaws.

Pour is a almost dark brown with a large foamy tan head. Aroma is cherry cough drops. Flavor is cherries. Slightly sweet and slightly tart. Finish leaves more cherry on the tongue. It's all cherries here and it's almost too cherry forward to be all natural. Def not a lambic, this is almost like drinking candy.

Bottle at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Red pour with a pink head. Aromas of glacé cherries, redcurrants, raspberry. Flavours of cherry drops, raspberry, strawberry jam. Long, sweet and fruity finish.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma pannosa beige/rosa fine persistenze, color mogano/rosso, al naso lieviti amarene e mandorle, in bocca è cremosa spicca latte di mandorla marzapane poi sciroppo e ciliege, carbonazione moderata, corpo rotondo, alcool ben bilanciato, lieve acidula, molto dolce con amaro percettibile. Lots of cherry but comes off a little intense on the Syrupy side. Sticky. Some florals but not like the chouffes I love. Ruby red pour with lots of pink bubbles. Bottle.

Bottle from Cap Tap. Pours clear, very dark ruddy, with a pink tinged beige head. Aroma of cherry over a caramel aspect. Med body. Flavor is very cherry. Detectable malt. It is far from dry. It does have a bitter that may come form cherry skin. Whatever, it is very delicious. A desert beer rather than a quaffing ale. Very nice.
